PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF STUDENTS

AN IDEAL COURSEBOOK

According to students there must be in an ideal book;

interesting subject, a lot of writing part, more songs game, and information about fomous films.

THE AIM FOR LEARNING ENGLISH

They want to learn English as it is international language and they think it will be useful in their future.

 EVALUATION AND SUGGESTIONS

I analysed The Starter Pace Setter according to some basis as how it sees language process, ýts syllabus type, how it deals with four skills; speaking listening, reading and writing.

To sum up there become some results. Although the coursebook has some group work activities Teachers don’t accept to do this because of the conditions of the class and time restriction. But they have times as they don’t do this activities they can enlarge the book’s activities according to learner’s learning style.

With the results of questionnaire of students it is understood that they want to have more colourful and informative books. This book; Although being seen suitable to learners its grammer practice and workbook aren’t creative and don’t let student’s to think in second language.

There may be more creative activities in student’s book as a project work to activate students congitive process.
